About Yana Thompson

Yana is a registered yoga teacher who started her yoga journey in 2011. She has 3 yoga teacher trainings, one from Toronto and 2 from Rishikesh India. Yana took off on a life-changing journey to India in 2015 on a one way ticket. Yana spent months practicing yoga with several yoga teachers, learning and experiencing traditional yoga in the Himalayan mountains.

In 2016, she went back to India again and trained with another yoga school in Rishikesh for months learning about pranayama, meditation, Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga. In addition, she also completed a course in Ayurveda with HimVeda- Ayurveda Panchakarma center. Yana has launched her free online yoga channel on YouTube and offers a variety of yoga classes for ALL levels. You can find yoga for anxiety, postpartum yoga, beginners yoga, yoga for fitness, bedtime yoga, restorative and many more. Yana is passionate about a healthy lifestyle, including her plant-based diet which she also loves to share with everyone. Be ready to come across multiple plant-based recipes designed by her that are very delicious and easy to make!

Our mission and goal at Yoga with Yana is to share the love and joy of yoga and healthy living with as many people. We aim to help people overcome anxiety, depression through yoga, different breathing techniques and right eating. Launching a platform to share Yana’s passion has been a long-term dream, and she is excited to share everything she’s learned through her travels in India and around the world.
